Field Service Engineer
The job is based out of your home and will have three main components.
Your technical skills will primarily be used in service and repair situations. Most of the problem areas they have in their technology are electro-mechanical in nature. People with a strong electrical experience (AC/DC, Motors, Controls, Low/Medium Voltage) will do well here. Some of the technology will require more electro-mechanical experience like hydraulics/pneumatics. The more well-rounded you are, the better you will do.
Customer Service will be critical in this role. You will become the expert and you must be comfortable becoming that expert. Understand that these systems are critical to Labs/Research Hospitals/Private Industry (Pharma) so being the "go-to-guy" is important.
The ability to up-sell will be very important. This is not a sales job. You will, however, be expected to explain new products and help customers see value in upgrading new technologies.
Base salary, plus full benefits (Medical, Dental, Vision), and per diem for food while you travel.
