Facility Security Officer

Odessa, TX

Industry: Energy/Oil/Gas/Utilities/Nuclear Job Number: 49509 Pay Rate: $80 - $90k

Job Description

This is a totally unique role that has previously been held for higher-level management within the company. This role will combine focus/experience in both Physical and Cyber Security programs at a highly sensitive operation that supports critical fuel for nuclear operations.

This role is will be incredibly visible across the entire enterprise. You will work closely with the Head of Compliance/Chief Nuclear Officer and Security Manager to ensure the site stays in compliance, working through the necessary clearances for required work access, and driving the strong attention to detail required to operate in this environment.

You will interact with agencies like the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) / Department of Energy (DOE. You will be part of the investigative team regarding compliance and security violations. This role will also assist when needed in the audits from the DOE, NRC, and Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).

Although this position is considered more of an individual contributor role, the position comes with incredibly high visibility to the Executive staff.

- This will allow growth into other functions of the company as employees tend to leap from this position to other operational leadership roles in the company.
- The company is looking for a security/intelligence candidate from the military who has some experience in security, law enforcement, and/or cyber security oversight.
- Experience in dealing with secured work environments, understanding security protocols, and clearances in environments outside of the active-duty space would be ideal.

To be clear, the company is not looking for someone who has only been a part of a security detail. This is a much more comprehensive security role. Experience in the transportation of classified matter and materials to secured facilities would be ideal.

Medical, dental, vision, 401k.
