Equipment Maintenance Engineer
Austin, TX US
Job Description
The company is one of the world's most important producers of technology that is used in the creation of semiconductors, and photomasks. The company produces other technology that is used in LCDs to the technology found in your smartphone. As the world of technology continues to grow and evolve, this is a fantastic industry to be a part of.
Although the role has "engineer" in the title, the position is a mix of a hands-on technical expert in electronics who will be trained on the technology used to make Photomasks. The role requires someone with a tremendous capacity to learn all facets of engineering and quality (electronics, electrical, mechanical, automation, robotics) and who desires to work in a high-tolerance environment. Mistakes in this world equal catastrophic consequences regarding product quality.
Beyond the hands-on aspect of the role, you will work with the company regarding manufacturing techniques and processes to help adjust and improve systems to best suit the production needs. You will work with other engineers to be a part of the production design, testing of new systems, and with the evaluation of how the systems are working versus expectations. This is a highly dynamic role beyond just being a "wrench turner."
This is an 8-hour workday, 5 days a week that runs different shift schedules (Tuesday through Sunday or Sunday through Thursday). The position is salaried but does offer a shift differential if you work off-hours and a variable compensation program that can act like a quarterly bonus program.
Salary plus variable compensation program (quarterly bonus), plus medical, dental, vision, and a 401k.
