Equipment Field Technician
Essential functions, duties, and responsibilities:
All essential functions, duties, and other responsibilities will be performed following safety guidelines/practices and be in support of the Company's Mission, Vision, and Principles Statements and will include the following:
Perform all levels of repair and preventive maintenance on heavy machinery.
Diagnose and troubleshoot problems, give recommendations for repairs and make all critical repairs and adjustments.
Remove and install parts, disassemble and assemble components, and test and adjust assemblies with minimal supervision.
Test and verify correct operation of all repairs and adjustments.
Communicate effectively and professionally with fellow employees and customers.
Develop and maintain long-lasting working relationships with customers.
Complete all necessary documentation and follow up as required in a timely, orderly manner.
Perform required DOT inspections to ensure service truck is in proper, safe working order.
Clean and take care of service truck.
Maintain work area, tools, and equipment to promote a clean and safe environment.
Must be willing to work overtime as required by fluctuating workloads and available for after-hours calls as needed.
Other duties and responsibilities:
All employees are required to be productive during working time, and to support the overall operation of the business. Any employee may be assigned to any work outside his or her job classification on an as-needed basis, so long as the employee is qualified to perform the work. Upon request, employees will participate in cross-training to enable them to support other segments of the business.
You must be able to obtain necessary DOT certifications within three months of starting work (company will assist).
There are almost no overnights away from home. Maybe five times a year. Work almost exclusively within your driving distance territory.
