Environmental Healthy and Safety Manager

Job Description

A Dutch multinational dairy cooperative which is based in Amersfoort, Netherlands is looking to add military talent in their Delhi, New York location. It is the world's largest dairy co-operative and one of the top 5 dairy companies in the world with annual revenue of 11 billion. They currently have branch offices in 33 countries and employs a total of 21, 927 people.

They are currently looking for an Environment Health and Safety Manager. In this role you are responsible for Global SHE framework into applied practices and strategy. You will communicate and develop programs and protocols aligned with local U.S.A. Laws and regulations, additionally you will:

- Develop framework for functional discipline and ensure quality of processes and management of systems, coordinate documentation
- Confer with external parties and legal advisors
- Assess compliance and advise management proactively about Safety, Health and Environmental discipline, relevant federal/state/city/county regulations, and certification standards, as well as project requirements, to minimize health/safety/environmental risks/maximize and contribute to the reputation of the company as a safe organization for all stakeholders.

This position will require the candidate to work on-site three to four days per week in our manufacturing facility in Delhi, NY and infrequent travel may be required to Paramus, NJ and Miami, FL.

Job knowledge, experience, and core competencies:

- BS in occupational health/safety, industrial hygienist, environmental or relative science degree (masters preferred) with 7 plus years of managing SHE in a manufacturing setting, preferably in dairy, food, ingredients, or pharma
- Working knowledge and understanding of unit operations (filtration/drying/evaporating), GMPs, project management, wastewater, Clean Air Act, OSHA, chemicals, and solid waste
- Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Teams
- Results oriented, a problem solver, thinks of opportunities and challenges
- Vision and strategic planning
- Persuasiveness and decisiveness - pro-active attitude and people person / team player
- Strong drive towards customer satisfaction and operational excellence
- Enthusiastic, able to motivate/engage with colleagues, management, and customers

Day shift position with some travel. Base salary, plus a bonus, benefits, and a 401k.
