Electronics Tech

This company is looking for all around Electronic Tech that is good with PLC control wiring and troubleshooting who can also do electrical work on 480, 277, 220, 208, and 110 volt MCCs, electrical panels, sub panels, transformers and electrical equipment. They would like someone with an Associate's degree in industrial equipment technologies or better yet a Military trained ET or Aviation Electronics Technician. You will need to show you can read electrical schematics and diagrams while troubleshooting and diagnosing electrical problems and perform preventative maintenance to avoid operational failures of electrical/electronic systems. You will also be asked to install electrical control wiring, assemble electrical components, install, program and trouble shoot PLC Control Systems, install and maintain CCTV systems.

Responsibilities:

- Program and maintain floor scales and metal detectors
- Tear apart and reassemble equipment on the bench and/or in the plant
- Proficient in using meters, meggers, and oscilloscopes to determine voltage, amperage, electrical output and input and to analyze the performance of equipment
- Ensure compliance with local and national electrical codes
- Maintain an inventory of the instrument/electrical/electronic parts
- Assist in developing, training and reviewing electrical programs and procedures for company

This is a Monday - Saturday position (It is usually a six-day/week role, but Saturday can be a rotation depending on how many techs they have). At times you may be asked to work a Sunday too, but this will all be overtime. They have one position on day shift and one on night shift.

$21 - $26/hr Depending on Experience, 10 hours or more of overtime each week, and the offer a strong benefits package.
This is a company that is willing to train military candidates on PLCs and other industrial maintenance equipment. One of the managers is a former Navy Avionics Tech who had no PLC experience. Plenty of overtime and can make some good money in this role.
