Electronic Service Technician
Able to tolerate up to 15% travel, but actual travel will probably be less. Most of the repair work will be done on equipment shipped to your facility but there will be occasional travel to fix equipment at a client's location. Just enough travel to break up any monotony. The techs report they like the amount of travel.
Specific job responsibilities:
- Calibrate electronic equipment
- Develop troubleshooting and repair skills
- Support customer calibration and maintenance of Particle Measuring Systems micro-contamination monitoring equipment
- Research customer problems and complaints
- Act as a liaison between customers and various departments
Note that the company has a non-smoking campus and most client locations are the same way. A lot of work in labs or clean room environments.
There is a little bit of overtime here and there at time and a half for a little bump in your total pay.
The company plans to do a compensation review next year which will probably result in a raise (along with any merit increase you earn).
