As a Maintenance Electrician you will work under the supervision of the Maintenance Manager, troubleshooting and repairing plant equipment. You will be expected to perform preventive maintenance and electrical installation of new equipment as needed. In this role you will need to repair any and all electrical problems as they occur on a timely basis. You will need to prove you have the experience to work on switchgear, instrumentation, running of new power sources up to 480v. You will be expected to know how to install new electrical components, conduit, lights, control panels, starter panels and assist in ordering parts needed to complete jobs. They need people who have the leadership and communication skills to assist with training of other maintenance personnel. You will also need to troubleshoot and repair problems with scales, VFD's, A/C's, electronic equipment, and so on, and to lead other less qualified electrical craftsman on jobs. Having knowledge in properly sizing motors, wiring, breakers and controls on new and older equipment will be important skills to have. If you have experience repairing and troubleshooting boilers, air compressor controls and temperature controlling equipment throughout the plant, you will need to relay this during your interview. They need someone who is assertive and self-motivated.
You also must be able to work overtime and on weekends as required as they have openings on 2nd and 3rd shift...2nd shift starts at 4 and 3rd starts at 11 pm, Monday thru Thursday working 9 1/2 hour shifts + 8 hours on Fridays. There is also weekend overtime for preventive maintenance and special projects. You must be able to work overtime and on weekends as required.
