Job Description
As an Electrical technician for this organization, you will be focused on conducting repairs and performing preventative maintenance on the printing press machines electrical system. You will repair and maintain the equipment in accordance with diagrams, sketches, operation manuals, and manufacturers specifications. You will use hand tools and testing equipment to do your job. You will work on 120/240/480 V machines. There will be little installations, but there will be repairs that require you to do things such as pulling conduit.
This is an organization that wants you to grow in your career so while there is down time you will also have the chance to learn new skills such as PLCs if you do not already know them. This is a great skill to have as someone that wants to progress in the electrical/electronic space.
Shifts: 1st is (7am-3pm) 2nd is (3pm-11pm) 3rd shift is (11pm-7am), Monday through Friday.
You will start on the first shift for training. After a few months you may move to another shift, but you can request to be moved to any shift at any time you want. They do not give out shifts based on seniority, there is an actual system that allows everyone a chance to get on first shift every 8 weeks should they want it. You can transfer to other company locations. This company is very invested in bringing on more veterans.
Base salary depending on skills, medical, dental, vision, a 401k with a match, 10 company holidays, 2 weeks of PTO. Flexible time off if you are sick or have a problem with family, you are always allowed to make up your hours.
