-Installs, maintains and repairs all electrical and electronic apparatus and equipment.
Inspects and repairs electrical equipment and apparatus (both AC & DC)
-Uses computer diagnostic devices
-Checks electrical circuits, motors (1HP to 7500HP), wiring, transformers, crane electrical mechanisms, relays, lighting systems, magnets, magnet cables, motor drives (both AC & DC), electrical testing devices, and other electrical equipment
-Consults drawings and specifications as needed to assess and repair
-Performs electrical, electronic and computer troubleshooting on equipment such as X-rays, lasers, shape control systems, edge and centering steering systems, electronic welders, hydraulic electronic servo systems, variable speed DC motor controllers, AC variable frequency controllers, radio controlled cranes and PLC controllers
The successful candidate must be willing to work rotating shifts including weekends and holidays. You must be willing to work in a steel mill environment. You must be able to comply with strict safety requirements that include the use of a variety of mobile equipment such as forklifts and cranes.
$34 - $35/hour base pay
Can make as much as $89k/year after overtime, shift differential, profit sharing, and so on
