Industry: IT/Cyber Sec/Software/Prog Job Number: BCDB42FB-2F9F-4238-BCDA-654EA865151A Pay Rate: $55 - $60K

Job Description

In this role you will be responsible for the installation, troubleshooting and maintenance of electronic communication systems, VOIP, SIP, computer, and networking systems. The Systems Technician is responsible for installing and servicing the systems in the most efficient and effective manner to assure minimum down time and maximum performance. The technician is responsible for communicating system performance to the customer. This is a local field service role that will have you home each night 95% of the time with just a few overnights when needed. You will travel to customer sites to install and commission as well as service and repair communication systems, wireless data, fire alarm, CCTV, sound systems, nurse call systems and security systems in mostly hospitals but also in other businesses and schools.

Our client needs responsible, self-motivated, self-starters who are personable and well-organized who have experience running cables and wires and/or experience installing, networking, commissioning and repairing low voltage electronics systems. For the most part this is a Monday - Friday day shift role, usually starting at 7 am, heading to customer sites in a company provided vehicle. The first 30 minutes of travel time is your commute, then you go on the clock. At times you may have to either come in early or start late to accommodate customers' work schedules, but this is not an everyday occurrence. There is also an on-call rotation about once every two months. You get a stipend for this week plus get paid for any off hour calls you have to go out on.

They do provide you with any specialty tools but do want candidates who have a basis toolbox including a cordless drill and battery charger.

Many of their clients are hospitals, so it is required that you get a fly and COVID shot each year. This is not their requirement but the hospitals they work with, so if you cannot do this, they will not have enough work outside the hospitals to keep you employed.

Other responsibilities:
- Responsible for the final hookup and programming of electronics equipment for new jobs
- Ability to program Access Control Systems and Video Management Systems
- Respond to customer's service-related issues promptly
- Test and document readings for customer's systems
