Electrical Technician

They are looking for a Maintenance Repair Technician, your responsibilities include, but not limited to installations, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, maintain, and calibrate the following systems: Electrical, electronic, electro-mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, all grinding and associated equipment, and processes used in the manufacturing of tungsten carbide and ceramic tools including facility equipment.

Repair equipment in accordance with standard engineering practices and original equipment manufacturers OEM technical manuals. Perform troubleshooting, diagnosing, repair and maintenance of all manufacturing and associated service equipment identifying the root cause of the problem. Maintain pneumatic and hydraulic systems controls and components. Rebuild all machine accessories, pumps, motors, dressing units, and fixtures.

Complete scheduled electrical/electronic overhaul/rebuild of CNC grinding equipment, including rewiring and replacement of motors, encoders/resolvers, electronic printed circuit boards, proximity switches, micro switches, relays, timers etc. Also include calibration and testing upon completion of overhaul. Working from prints, sketches, schematics, vender equipment manuals or verbal instructions to maintain equipment in adjustment, aligning, and fitting. Maintain and repair air conditioning and heating, air handlers. .

Preventive Maintenance, including inspection, repair and lubrication of all manufacturing equipment and processes and facility equipment following plant-wide preventive maintenance program. If applicable, provide maintenance for plumbing, and HVAC equipment as required.

Plan and coordinate major equipment manuals or verbal instructions to maintain intricate equipment in adjusting, aligning and fitting. Utilize basic CNC processing and test equipment in diagnosing and correcting defective components. Operate and repair machine tools by welding, fabricate sheet metal items as needed. Make brackets, accessories and repair parts as needed.

Review all work orders, order supply parts electronically. Calibrate manufacturing equipment and processes and facility equipment in accordance with OEM suggested guidelines

Install new equipment: disassemble, relocate and reinstall existing equipment to implement the company's continuous improvement program per current electrical and plumbing guidelines.

Interact with staff in all departments of the plant, as well as outside vendors and service engineers.

Attend technical training sessions to upgrade skills and knowledge of increasingly sophisticated equipment and processes.
