Electrical Technician

Job Description

The Electrical Technician will install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical and electronic equipment. Additionally, as a part of the Berkeley team, the Electrical Technician is required to assist both Production and Mechanical departments, as necessary. You must be able to work rotating shifts and scheduled/unscheduled overtime including nights, weekends, and holidays as this is a rotating shift position that is 4 days on 4 days off, 4 nights on, 4 nights off.

Once trained and up to speed, you will perform PM work orders, troubleshoot, and repair various mill equipment, repair and modify electrical controls including electronic drive units, PLCs, and HMIs, provide electrical support to the Mechanical and Production teams, and assist with various projects.

Technically they need someone with an understanding of electrical theory and practice, automation control, and experience or the ability to learn to perform routine and corrective maintenance on: AC and DC motors and drives, power distribution, control systems and PLCs (will teach PLC's), overhead cranes, strong troubleshooting skills, excellent computer skills, mechanical aptitude or any hydraulic and pneumatic system knowledge is a bonus.
