Key duties and responsibilities:
-Plan/Schedule and lead periodic maintenance on all electrical equipment, components, and installations
-Support and supervisor mechanics to assure they stay on task during overhauls and/or breakdowns
-Provide prompt response to inquiries whenever there is a breakdown, resolve the issue as quickly as possible
-Ensure that all equipment is maintained is safe/good working order so as to prevent injury, or unexpected production loss.
-Recommend replacement for old or faulty electrical components to the management
-Assist in forecasting requirements, creating a budget and scheduling expenses for the electrical department
-Order stock and supplies, including company's electrical equipment for work orders to assure mechanics have necessary materials to effectively complete jobs in a timely manner.
-Working in collaboration with production to formulate the most economical, productive plan for implementation of repairs.
-Help the organization to reduce energy costs, improve yield and efficiency.
-Troubleshoot machine breakdowns and provide preventive maintenance services
-Provide safe working environment for members of staff, and ensure electricity induced accidents and mishaps are prevented
-Update Drawings using AutoCAD
-Utilize Microsoft project, excel, word and outlook for daily activities
