Electrical Shop Technician
In this role, you would perform repair and maintenance of electrical transformers and related equipment. Scope of duties will include working with high voltage/low voltage reconnects, wiring of contacts for gauges and fans, gasket cutting, welding/soldering on AL/CU, understanding wiring diagrams, and oil processing and dry out.
In addition, electrical shop technicians will need to be able to understand basic transformer testing to include Megger, Resistance, Power Factor, and the ability to understand the test results.
The work environment is moderately physical, you will need to be able to move approximately 50 pounds, and be able to manage a power transformer assembly and tear down.
Potential candidates will need to harbor good ethics, have effective communication skills in a shop environment, and possess leadership qualities.
A high school diploma or equivalent and 3 - 5+ years of experience in an electrical field is required.
Little or no travel.
Normal work hours, Monday - Friday. Occasionally, work may be conducted out of the normal business week on an as-needed basis.
Compensation, $30 - $40 per hour depending on experience and overtime.
Annual salary could reach or surpass $80k. Medical, dental, vision, and 401K are available.
