This is a great opportunity to work in Raleigh, NC and use your technical training and electrical background to work in the exciting crane industry. You must be able to troubleshoot and repair 3-phase motors, read and understand electrical schematics. You cannot have a fear of heights; some of the cranes you will be working on are over 50' high. You will also be expected to inspect and repair hoists, inverters and radio units on cranes. Work may be indoors or outdoors and can very greatly - a clean environment, dirty factory, or outside in the elements. You will use your great communication skills to speak and interact with Plant Managers, Company Owners, Maintenance Managers, and so on. You are expected to always present yourself and the company in a professional manner. Must be Drug Free and able to pass a drug test.
Typical work day is 7: 30 am - 4: 30 pm. Role does include travel, with some overnight. When you travel you will have a company vehicle and the company pays for the gas. Jobs can take you as far south as SC and as far north as VA. All service technicians are expected to work "on call" on a rotating basis. Calls can come off shift. These calls are based on the need of your clients.
Pay is hourly and can range from $19 - $28 an hour based on skill. Onboarding will include 3 - 6 months of training where you will shadow a Sr. Technician.
