Job Description

Our client is in search of a candidate with organizational leadership experience, you will need to be comfortable with leading, organizing, planning, and creating information sharing activities (written and verbal reporting).

The Director of Provider Services for this rural health clinic is responsible for ensuring effective and efficient daily operation of outpatient services through the implementation and enforcement of policies to achieve the highest quality patient care. The incumbent schedules and supervises office staff, ensures appropriate staffing levels to support appointments, anticipates office requirements, orders supplies, protects patient information, and introduces advancing medical trends and best practices. The Director must proactively engage in staff development to facilitate cohesion and teamwork. Ensure a standards-based environment of employee cooperation and regulatory compliance including prioritized focus on HIPAA and quality assurance. Monitor staff functionality and manage a professional team focused on patients and quality care. Serve as a liaison between clinic staff, patients, families, caregivers, and physicians.

Essential functions:
Administration and supervision:
- Leads by professional example in completion of duties and responsibilities.
- Actively engages with clinic staff in daily huddles or other meetings as required, shares important information, and ensures staff understanding of assigned tasks and responsibilities.
- Ensures accurate documentation regarding patient care activities.
- Maintains effective working relationships with all clinic staff members, other department managers, and administration to maintain quality of patient care.
- Communicates clearly detailed plans when interacting with patients and family members.
- Shares best practices and clinical updates with staff to maintain the most up-to-date treatment practices.
- Conducts research and maintains awareness of new changes to treatment or processes.
- Provides patients and/or caretakers with relevant information and answers questions as required.
- Anticipates requirements and ensures the clinic maintains adequate supplies and appropriate equipment.
- Manages staff schedules, coordinates staffing changes, and resolves conflict through appropriate de-escalation techniques.
- Ensures timely and accurate treatment, updates patient files and records, and protects patient information.
- Avoids waste of resources (time, supplies, and money) and actively seeks ways to provide the most cost-effective, high quality patient care possible.
