Job Description
The department supervisor is responsible for directing the departmental work force. The candidate will also coordinate all manufacturing operations, maintain schedules, and administer discipline by employing a wide range of skills and techniques. All of this must be done within the prescribed policies and procedures of the client.
Essential accountabilities:
- Applies skills, knowledge, experience, available man-hours, machines, and tools effectively to obtain the most favorable costs and quality of workmanship
- Acts in a Production Manager capacity in the event of a temporary vacancy
- Acts in a Senior Management position on specified shifts in absence of the Production Manager
- Participates in and coordinates company programs. For example, communications, apprenticeships, job training, team member appraisals, wage administration, and so on
- Conforms with rules and regulations, and will administer approved disciplinary measures when necessary
- Collaborates with engineering and manufacturing personnel to provide information on matters relative to the design and utilization of tools, production methods, applications, and so on
- Attends company-sponsored training classes and special classes to keep informed and abreast of new developments in management, supervision and other job-related courses.
Base salary DOE, they offer a 401k program with Fidelity - The company is matching 50% of your pretax dollars on the first 3% of your contribution and on top of that, the company will contribute 3% of your eligible salary, even if you're not contributing anything. There is also an incentive plan that is paid yearly, up to 9% of your base salary and $3, 120 annually for off shift.
Sunday-Tuesday 7pm-7am which includes $2100 shift differential, plus a 9% yearly bonus and a $600 quarterly bonus.
