Job Description

This client is the ever-growing data center industry's only full lifecycle provider. They offer expert critical facility construction, facility management and operations services across their portfolio of data centers customers. They provide customized build-to-suit, wholesale turnkey or powered shell data centers, critical facility construction, and ongoing facility management and operations services. They currently operate over 500 MW of critical load across 55 data centers and offer turnkey or build to suit data center solutions in 9 U.S. Markets.

They are looking to hire Data Center technicians in Lemont, IL. In this role, you are responsible for all aspects of data center operations related to critical and non-critical infrastructure, equipment, and systems. Essentially, your job is to make sure the data center machines are working properly, help maintain and bring about preventative and corrective maintenance actions where necessary.

Ideally, they are looking for folks with either a mechanical or electrical background with experience working with any power or cooling equipment from the military. They'll train you in the specifics of the technician work, they are looking for folks that can learn quickly given their technical acumen.

Responsibilities:

- Operate and maintain critical and non-critical data center infrastructure, equipment, and systems
- Monitor power, cooling capacity, and environmental conditions within the data halls
- Perform preventive maintenance on data center electrical and mechanical equipment
- Assist with the development, revision, and execution of approximately 200 operating procedures and preventive maintenance inspections, and perform quality control reviews to ensure accuracy, clarity, and continual improvement
- Resolve all electrical and mechanical issues within the data center quickly, while minimizing risk and properly communicate issues to the appropriate chain of command

Base salary, plus overtime and relocation assistance. Day shift Monday - Friday
