Crane Technician

Portsmouth, VA

You have been selected as a strong match for one of our clients for a Crane Technician position to work on cranes of all types (overhead, marine, tower, mobile and articulating boom). The ideal candidate for this role should have knowledge in primarily electrical, and secondary experience in mechanical (hydraulic) and pneumatic systems. They are looking for experienced and self-motivated professionals that will be responsible for working on cranes within the Hampton Roads, VA region. They offer a competitive compensation and the opportunity to earn annual incentive bonuses. The work-life is Monday through Friday (normal business hours), with opportunity for overtime.

As a Crane Technician, your primary responsibilities will be to maintain, inspect and troubleshoot various types of cranes. Such knowledge on cranes is helpful and preferred but not required. They will provide the crane knowledge in continuous training.

Other requirements include:
- Ability to read and understand hydraulic diagrams
- Ability to troubleshoot equipment
- Willing to work at heights over 40'
- A positive, team-oriented attitude
- Honesty and integrity
- Excellent Communication skills
- Valid driver's license
