Contract Manager

Responsible for planning, directing and coordinating related activities within the company's contracts department including full cycle contract and key program management from customer initial RFQ, Statement of work, proposal preparation, negotiation, contract administration, problem resolution, risk mitigation to contract closeout.

Essential job functions:

- Provide risk management support through the understanding of contractual terms and obligations; coordinate/work with Legal to protect the Company's legal and contractual rights and interests; ensure compliance with contractual obligations

- Negotiate and execute prime and sub Government contracts and modifications

- Acknowledge Government customer purchase orders

- Receive all incoming government RFPs/RFQs and route to appropriate managers and supporting department for actions

- Coordinate the development, support, and submittal of proposals

- Administer after contract/purchase order award through contract completion and close out to include assignment of job numbers, distribution of contract/purchase order information to appropriate departments, and issuance contract/change approval forms

- Coordinate, monitor, and respond to pre-award surveys, proposal audits, and post-award audits requested by DCAA

- Initiate, review, and approve Government/Aerospace invoices prior to customer submittal

- Routine customer contact for various issues (that is, funding, upcoming meetings, past due invoices, status of outstanding proposals and awards, and so on)

- Review and approve internal budgets associated with each Government/Aerospace jobs

- Coordinate and attend meetings and negotiations pertaining to Government/Aerospace customers

- Review of material purchase requisitions, to ensure purchase is within allowed budget

- Assign prime contract, priority rating, and applicable FAR flow down clauses to requisitions

- Provide guidance to Program Management, Development Team, Operations, Purchasing and Quality departments concerning contractual questions and issues

- Supervise department employees including planning, assigning and directing the work of those within the department

- Management of commercial contracting activity

- Review and monitor Export Compliance Programs and ITAR - International Traffic Export Control Reform

- Expected to participate in Lean activities

- Expected to maintain all housekeeping items and follow all housekeeping procedures

- Expected to follow all safety procedures and maintain a safe work environment
