This client is a leader in the inspection space, that was founded in 1820s and has over $5billion in annual revenue and over 78K employees. The do everything from specialized testing, inspection, and certification, and they operate in a variety of sectors, including building and infrastructure, agri-food, and commodities, marine and offshore, industry, certification and consumer products.
This specific side of their business is looking for Commissioning Engineers for their data center inspection/testing services. Their hiring manager is prior military and looking to bring on solid technical minded folks whom they can train into their roles. In this role, you and a team will travel to data centers across the country and help commission their centers. This is role does demand some high travel; standard travel is via air to a location for 2 weeks, then back home for a week, then back out for two weeks. Kind of like a mini deployment.
Specifically, they want those with the following personality traits: critical thinking, problem solving, smooth under pressure, show up on time, work until the job/mission is complete, can work in a fast-paced environment.
Technical backgrounds: They like all military backgrounds, so if you are one of the following, you're a fit: mechanics (MM, Nuke MM, AD, GSM, Aircraft Mechs); Electrical (EM, Nuke EM, GSE, AE, power pros - those with motors, controls, power distro); electronics (ET, FC, sonar techs, avionics techs.)
Salary is DOE for folks transitioning out of the military; higher for folks who have some industry experience.
Locations: Wants folks based in San Antonio, Northern Virginia, or Iowa.
