In this role you will identify and resolve plant issues and act as a liaison between engineering team and operations and maintenance departments. You will support maintenance and operations in system troubleshooting and recommend courses of action to more senior engineers for approval regarding troubleshooting specific events or complex plant problems, coming up with cost effective maintenance strategies. Some of these will be projects in the day to day work schedule in reviewing documentation and testing things like the quality of components being used from a seismic perspective, if burying a pipeline making sure that the load is distributed properly so it is not crushed, pouring of concrete. You will also support planning and prioritization of project life cycles. You will also implement action plans of senior team members to address deficiencies via the corrective action and work management processes and support changes in system configuration/design and design basis.
You will develop engineering products in accordance with defined standards and procedures.
You will also participate in project teams for critical on-line system outages or refueling outages, serving on outage engineering support teams and attending training and maintaining qualifications necessary to perform group functions.
