Certified Welding Inspector

Our client is currently looking for a polished Certified Welding Inspector, to assist in their growing business.

Responsibilities:

- Perform PQR qualifications
- Write welding procedures
- Insure Welders Log is being maintained
- Monitor welders are following welding procedures
- Verify weld maps are being properly maintained
- Verify material maps are being properly maintained where required
- Create Material Test Report Logs when required
- Monitor / Audit non-destructive testing
- Randomly review radiography film for compliance
- Interpret Codes
- Monitor Quality Control Manual
- Inspect welding as a random process
- Dimensional checks of piping and structural skids as a random process
- Monitor receiving material
- Maintain quality control files
- Act as liaison between shop and customer's inspector
- Perform off site inspections at vendors facilities
- Perform WPQ Testing and/or monitor
- Monitor and check off punch list items
- Participate in pre-fabrication meetings
- Help resolve problems and provide solutions to problems
- Monitor electrode handling compliance
- Monitor material traceability compliance
- Insure welders use only WPSs they are qualified on
- Perform Self-Assessment of the welding process
