Business Unit Manager

They need an experienced Leader who has led large teams with a combination of direct and indirect reports. To go along with the leadership experience, they need someone with a good working knowledge of Excel, SAP, Statistical & Analytical Analysis and Continuous Improvement who has good communication skills. You will need to show you can come in with the capability to work with and learn from your peers and direct reports who have a lot more experience in this environment and grow into this Leadership role. You will not need to be a technical expert, but you will need to show you are a go-getter who can acquire the technical knowledge needed for this role on your own.
Some of your other responsibilities will be:
Directs activities through subordinate Team Leader(s) to attain production goals consistent with safety, quality, delivery, housekeeping, waste elimination, and effectiveness objectives.
Reviews and establishes material, equipment, and manpower resource requirements.
Accountable for consistent application of policy and procedures throughout the plant.
Coordinates and leads activities with other functions such as materials, engineering, quality, human resources and other support departments.
Assists in establishing budgets for conducting departmental activities and accompanying manufacturing projects; forecasts manpower equipment and supply needs; and is held responsible for managing department within established budgetary guidelines.
Comply with and support the health, safety, and environmental programs, policies and procedures.
This is a Monday-Friday role and your usual hours will be 7: 30 am to COB each day but you will be supporting a 24/7 operation, so you will be on call for phone calls and emergencies around the clock.
Base pay is $80 - $90k+
Short Term Incentive Plan based on performance
15 days vacation - one-week company shut-down at end of the year
