Business Process Trainer-Operations

This is more of a corporate asset/individual contributor role than a leadership role. It is a combination of hands on, working with the team on the floor and then utilizing what you learn there to facilitate training, process improvement, effect positive change. It is a hybrid of hands-on, business analyst, process improvement. Very project based, and you will travel to different facilities at times, maybe even for a couple of weeks at a time on certain projects (can go home for weekends).

This is a Monday - Friday, day shift position!

General summary:

Responsible for training existing and new employees throughout the company focusing on the operations business process improvement. In addition, will be responsible for analyzing predetermined accounts for optimization in physical and systemic setup, process, and productivity with the goal of achieving best practice across all operational functional areas within the role's purview.

Act in a key role, working directly with both the Lead Business Process trainer and Director of Business Process Improvement, in the application of comprehensive project plans aimed at implementing new business processes and best practices.

Work directly or in unison with the Customer Service Business Process trainers.

Continually focus on the quality, business process improvement, and customer optimization during training and account analysis to ensure both Barrett Distribution Centers and the customer's needs are being met, while maintaining high quality, cost effective services.

Consistently exceed corporate values and objectives.

A working knowledge of warehouse functionality and third-party logistics methods is a key component to achieving success within the role.

Essential job functions:
Responsible for account analysis using observation, interviews, and reporting

Reporting on findings in some representation of presentation (PowerPoint), written, and verbal form

Adherence to and teaching of the Distribution Centers' standard procedures

Key role in the Implementation of new business processes and systemic improvements based on analysis

Training of new and existing staff in a combination of one on one, group, and class room style training

Development of training material across multiple software platforms

Collaborates with cross functional departments in order to achieve desired goals

Work in the functional areas in the warehouse with facility staff in the area of focus in order to determine current state and use information to assist in determining desired state/best practice
