Assembly Technician

Our client is currently seeking a Mechanical Assembly Technician, to join our team. For this opportunity, the candidate will be working to modify Company base units for client specific operation. This will require mechanical assembly and low voltage electrical knowledge. Experience with Capital Equipment and Conveyors is preferred but not required. This candidate will need to be a self-starter with a hunger to learn and grow with a rapidly growing company. Strong attention to detail and technical aptitude will lead to success in this position. You will be working closely with the Assembly Supervisor for training and developing solutions for local clients. After training, this candidate will complete modifications of units on their own and perform initial tests to ensure functionality.

Essential functions:
Performs mechanical and electrical assemble and subassemblies, utilizing both hand and power tools
Modify base units with interchangeable parts to achieve client specifications
Hands-on assembly and integration of all our inspection equipment
Quality assurance and final tests of Company detection units before client delivery
Enter all parts used for modification into the SAP system
Report defective materials or product concerns to the department supervisor
Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations
Work to meet customer order expected delivery date

Proficient in reading both mechanical and electrical prints
Experience in risk analysis and maintaining safety documents
Experience with bill of materials (BOM) generation and spare parts/service documentation
Excellent organizational skills
Ability to multi-task
Computer proficiency in MS Office suite, Microsoft Outlook; capable of learning addition proprietary software programs
Ability to manage and work within a CRM and ERP environment
Excellent writing and communication skills in English (Japanese speaking abilities with English fluency, is a huge plus!)
The ability to lift 50 lbs. And actively engaged in standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing.
