Job Description

A leading manufacturing in purpose-driven products that meet the needs of a range of industries, including sports fields, golf courses, mining, oil and gas reclamation, landfills, commercial/residential construction, and DOT/high projects is looking for military veteran talent in operational leadership roles in their plants across the southeast.

There will be no hiding behind a desk with this role--so if you thrive when you're surrounded by teammates and solving problems, where no day is ever the same, this is a role with a company you need to consider.

The primary duty day will be on the first shift, Monday through Friday; however, there will be times where leadership asks you to provide guidance and oversight on second and third shift. It is not uncommon to see the COO and other C-suite leadership doing the same, this is an environment that is transitioning to a military mindset, "we're in this together." There will be several "dotted line" reports to you; however, you will not directly supervise them.

The client is asking for a veteran because they know that military candidates understand how to figure things out, influence the behavior around them through example, and work together across teams. Part of that will include initiating and directing activities toward the development and implementation of employee training programs, problem solving, and leader standard work development. You'll conduct root cause assessments for defects and equipment failures and be an ambassador of safety through process improvement and equipment design.

Skills that will make you successful:
Do you have an inquisitive mind, are you someone who doesn't just stop with the problem, but actively pursues how to streamline and make something better? Are you programed to be an agent of change, and are able to work up and down a chain of command? Do you take pride and ownership in your work and encourage others to do the same? Are you process driven, and enjoy building teams? If you answered yes, then this is an opportunity you will thrive in!

Why you should work here:
Aside from the fact that you'll report directly to the SVP of Fiber, a former army infantry officer, who understands your background--there is also unlimited growth potential at this company.

The chain of command from the C-suite to the floor believes in creating a culture shift that starts with their leadership. However, leadership also understands that it's important to maintain balance. Communication is key, and the client means it.

Monday? Friday, first shift primarily with availability to provide oversight occasionally on 2nd and 3rd shift and weekends when required by the mission

Base salary, matching 401k, medical, dental and vision.
