Our client is seeking an Application Engineer. The candidate will work at the company's facility 45 minutes North of Philadelphia, providing technical support to Outside Territory Sales Managers. The candidate will be the primary resource that drives and manages all technical aspects of the pre-sales process. You will train and develop on all aspects of the job for approximately 6-12 months.
The Application Engineer will work directly with customers to design effective and practical solutions. You will conduct sales and training presentations, answer customer's technical inquiries, and work on multiple different projects.
This is a chance to work for a leading supplier of automation products to multiple industrial markets. The organization is a technical leader in providing solutions for process instrumentation, control and data acquisition, process hardware, hazardous electrical protection, and industrial Ethernet networking products.

The Application Engineer may have the opportunity to be promoted to Outside Territory Manager, only if the position is available and the candidate's performance is strong enough. If promoted, you will be given a personal territory of responsibility where earnings can increase by $50 - $75K. Outside Territory Managers travel 3 days a week within territory with little to no overnight travel. Candidate must live 45 minutes Northeast of Philadelphia. If the candidate is promoted to Outside Territory Manager, relocation will be available if the candidate prefers to take on the new role.

Pay Grade: $75 - $100K first year.

Education Preferences: Bachelor's in mechanical, electrical, or chemical engineering with 2-5 years of experience of process measurement and control - or - Navy Nuclear Engineering experience (Officer or Enlisted).
